Haji Lane Featured in New York Times

I was just browsing New York Times and came across this headline in the Travel Section, “Singapore Lane Springs to Life”. Singapore Lane? What’s that??

I clicked on it and saw the picture. For a moment, I thought they used a picture of Bangkok or something. I guess I was being judgmental, I don’t remember girls wearing so skimpy on the streets in Singapore. Oh well, maybe I’m just getting old…I’m starting to sound like my mum.

PS: The Singapore Lane featured in the article is actually Haji Lane in Beach Road/Bugis area. Wonder why New York Times featured Singapore so frequently recently….I guess they must have sent some angmoh reporters there to report on several topics at one go. One last thing, I really don’t like the picture.
